A "secret" hideaway!

Nestled in the picturesque village of Great Hallingbury, just a stone's throw from Bishop's Stortford and a convenient five minute drive from Stansted Airport, this classic Tudor-style Manor Hotel has undergone a million pound refurbishment programme. Built in the 1960s as a family home, later extended to become a B&B.


HOTEL
With new buildings and additional wings, Great Hallingbury Manor is proud to offer 32 of the finest rooms available in the area. Great Hallingbury Manor's annexe building, the Piggeries will offer eight light and spacious deluxe bedrooms and two luxurious suites.


HOTEL ROOMS
Great Hallingbury Manor now offers 30 luxury bedrooms and 2 suites. All rooms have been newly refurbished and designed to offer a peaceful getaway for romantic couples and a comfortable respite for business travellers looking to escape the sterile world of corporate travel.

On completion, all rooms will have internet connection/WiFi, 32” flat screen TV with free view, mini bar, room safe, tea & coffee making facilities and super king size beds (double, single & twin rooms are available). All bedrooms will feature a spacious wet room with body jets. The suites will also have a large free standing bath.

A GREEN HOTEL
In this era, caring about our environment is a tremendously important part of life. With that in mind, Great Hallingbury Manor is proud to play its eco-friendly part in every current aspect and future development on the property.

The Manor will be installing air-source heating technology, which harnesses the surrounding air and, using a split system heat pump, converts it to heat. At optimum levels, air-source heating can deliver up to three times more energy than it consumes. Water usage will also be reduced through aqua-recycling. And, of course, environmentally friendly products will be used in rooms, restaurants and kitchens throughout the hotel.

Great Hallingbury Manor will proudly be a carbon neutral hotel. Just imagine the fantastic impression you will give your business associates and clients when you invite them to meet or dine in an establishment that cares about the environment like we do.


ANTON’S RESTAURANT
Anton's Restaurant and Champagne Barn opened its doors in January 2008 with a huge success. Located in the new extension of the hotel, it overlooks the beautiful lake and swan sanctuary. Well known Chef, Anton Edelmann. Who was previously Maitre Chef de Cuisine at The Savoy London Hotel for 21 years, is here with his new and exciting concept in food – the culmination of many years experience.

Chef’s Table
For the ultimate dining experience there will be the opportunity for up to 12 people to dine in the kitchen with a glass viewing facility, at the uniquely designed “Chef’s Table”, enabling you to be right in the heart of the action, watching the master at work.


CONFERENCE & MEETINGS
Great Hallingbury Manor is a prime location for business travellers and conference meetings. The charming Oak Room is situated in the older part of the Manor House and overlooks part of our landscaped gardens and lily pond. The beautiful feature fireplace, oak floor & wall panelling and leaded light windows give this room its unique character.

This delightful private function room can accommodate can hold 40 people in theatre-style or 25 in board-room style and up to 40 people for a lunch or dinner or even up to 60 for a buffet celebration.

The light and airy Gallery Room is situated in the new barn extension of Great Hallingbury Manor. With its contemporary style and display of beautiful art from local artists the room offers a superb atmosphere. This stunning private function room can accommodate up to 20 people for a lunch or dinner or up to 40 for a buffet celebration.

Room @ The Top is a “Management Hideaway” situated in the brand new barn extension of Great Hallingbury Manor offers lost of natural daylight, air conditioning and all necessary equipment making it ideal for senior management meetings. It can accommodate up to 18 people board room style or 40 people theatre style.

Very large conference facilities can be arranged, with private transfer if required, just down the road at a special conference center. We will also offer two private rooms for smaller meetings.

Despite the prime location, Great Hallingbury Manor manages to avoid the sterility of most airport hotels, surrounding guests with lush green countryside, charm and character. The hotel offers all the standard business meeting requirements - flip charts, projectors and screens, high speed internet access etc.

Team building activities such as quad biking, archery, clay pigeon shooting etc can take place at lawns of the hotel.

WEDDINGS
Great Hallingbury Manor Hotel is licensed for weddings, and has as many exciting options for celebrating this important occasion.


LOCATION
Great Hallingbury Village is approx 1,5 kilometer away from the hotel. The Hop Poles is a traditional inn, situated in the village, with history going back as far as the Fire of London.

Stansted Airport is approx 5 minutes from the hotel. We will arrange airport transfer, meet & greet etc.


GOLF
Blakes Golf Club is located approx 20 minutes from Great Hallingbury Manor and welcomes visitors all year round.

Bishop’s Stortford Golf Club is a traditional Members’ Club and welcome Day Visitors with official handicap.

LOCAL POINTS OF INTEREST
Flitch Way – only a few minutes walk from the Manor. A newly surfaced path which starts at Tilekiln Green and runs for approximately 13 kilometers to Great Dunmow. It is the old spur railway line from Bishop’s Stortford to Braintree which was used mainly for transporting bananas. The path is suitable for pedestrians, cyclists, horse riders etc

St. Giles – is a very ancient church, being between eight and nine hundred years old.

Hatfield Forest – 1.000 acres of ancient woodland and was a royal hunting estate in Tudor times. It was later owned by the local Houblon family and then passed to the National Trust, who owns it now.

The Radisson Hotel Spa & Gym – is located 3 kilometers from the Manor and will allow the Manor guests to use their facilities at special rate.
